To those who have been wondering why the website has not been updated there are a couple of reasons. 1st I am the sole person responsible for keeping the site up to date and after each annual I have to go through all of the website's code and update it. Unfortunately I have not been able to do this as this year has been a very busy year for me. 2nd our website is hosted on Cox and they are doing away with the webspace pages so we are going to need to move the entire site. Right now I am in the process of recoding the entire site to prepare it for the move. When we make the move the site will be completely updated. I thank everyone for their patience and I will keep you all updated when we make the move.

RHODE ISLAND GRAND YORK RITE SESSIONS

The 214th Annual Convocation of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Rhode Island and the 151st Annual Assembly of Grand Council of Royal and Select Master Masons of Rhode Island will be held at the St. John Masonic building in Portsmouth, RI on Saturday, April 2, 2011. The Grand Council Annual Assembly will be held in the morning . . . the Grand Chapter Annual Convocation will be held in the afternoon.

The Annual Banquet will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011. Lodging will be available at the Comfort Inn at 28 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, RI (401) 619-2800 (the same as in previous years).

GRAND CHAPTER/COUNCIL SPECIAL: You are hereby notified that the “Special” Convocation of Grand Chapter and the “Special” Assembly of Grand Council will be held on Saturday evening, February 27, 2010 no earlier than 7:00 p.m. at the Pawtucket Masonic Temple, 50 Pleasant Street, Pawtucket, RI, pursuant to the respective Grand Constitutions. The respective Nomination Committees will propose the names of qualified candidates and a separate vote will be taken for two one-year terms for the top Grand Chapter and Grand Council officers

7:00 p.m. – OPENING OF GRAND CHAPTER: The Grand High Priest will open Grand Chapter for the purpose of conducting the Semi-Annual Convocation of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter for the election of officers.

Close the Chapter.

7:45 p.m. – OPENING OF GRAND COUNCIL: The Grand Master will open the Grand Council for the purpose of conducting the Semi-Annual Assembly for the election of officers.

I would like to apologize for last weeks website outage. I recently dropped my cox account and there was some trouble transferring the domain over to another companion with a cox account. As you can see the site is back up, however if the site ever goes down again you can check the status of the site on this blogger which is located here http://riroyalarch.blogspot.com/ This site won't go down and if there are any problems with the site I will post them there. Just right click the link and select 'bookmark this link.' Once again companions I am sorry for the outage I hope it didn't cause too many problems. ANNUAL SESSIONS: You are hereby notified that the 211th Annual Grand Convocation of the Grand Chapter and the 148th Annual Grand Assembly of the Grand Council will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., respectively, at the St. John’s Masonic building, 87 Sprague Street, Portsmouth, RI. I hope everyone enjoyed their summer. The festival held in June was a great success, we exulted 20 candidates and interest in RAM seems to be increasing as we have enough candidates to hold another festival. This one will also be at Unity Chapter in Wakefield but will be sponsored by Pawtucket chapter. The chapter will open at 8:30am on October 27th. I have created a flier for chapter secretaries to print if they need, you can save this link or go to the page and print it straight from there.

Welcome to the new website. You'll notice it looks a lot like the old one. There are some new features though, this journal being one of them. I've added a calendar that lists all of the chapter's regular meetings along with the annuals and visitations. You can click on each event to get more information and even get maps to the event. I also updated the officers page, if you mouseover any of the names you will get a picture of them, if I had one, and if you click on the name you will get an e-mail link, if they have an e-mail address. Please feel free to leave me comments on this blog or e-mail if I made any mistakes or there is anything you would like to see added. My address is below as the webmaster.
